(Ok, maybe not. But at least I finally bought something legit during a Woot-Off that I might actually need. Gotta keep up with the 21st century and all that ...)
On another note ...
Had one of those moments in Cryptography today that you live for as an instructor. The first assignment was due today ... and it ate the student's lunch. And so ... everybody wanted to ask questions about it, and we went back and reviewed key parts of the text which it turns out nobody really understood, and I ended up reassigning a couple of the problems for this week's homework. It was a lively, exciting, engaging discussion, and everyone in the room was involved. (Granted, it was four people, but at 8am, I'll take it.)
Which makes up for the fact that my wife and I woke up at 7:35am that morning in Fenton, and had to scramble to get both kids up and dressed and out the door in ten minutes to get Clara to school on time. Argh. Apparently, neither alarm clock got set.
And, looking out the window while giving a Crypto lecture and seeing it snowing. Granted, I've lived in the state all my life, but snow on October 12th is just plain weird.
It's been a long and exciting day. And on top of it all, I got to woot. Woot!
