Autism seen as asset, not liability, in some jobs

Autism seen as asset, not liability, in some jobs (from MSNBC)

Summary: there are companies that are specifically seeking out people with Asperger's Syndrome, a particularly high-functioning form of autism, to work as software development testers. The jobs require intense attention to detail, single-minded focus and a willingness to work on something repetitively until perfect --- a classic description of Aspie's. (I've had a couple of Aspie's in my classes over the years, and I can certainly testify to this.)

It's kinda fascinating to see a "disability" being viewed as an asset in the workplace, rather than a liability.
