aw, shucks ... - Jim Huggins
aw, shucks ...|
This year, the nominations for Kettering's Outstanding Teaching Award were publicly announced for the first time. (Usually, only the winners announced.)
And I got nominated. That's incredibly flattering. Thanks, whoever nominated me out there.
(Note: I doubt that I'll receive the award this time around. I got the award back in 2002, and like many such awards, usually The Powers That Be prefer to give it to new awardees rather than past awardees. Even Reg Bell only gets the award once every ten years or so ...)
Now, back to trying to prepare for classes on Monday ... augh!
Current Mood: pleased
hey, congrats! Is the list online?
what are your classes this time?
The list isn't online (yet); I don't know if it will be or not. Do you want to know the list?
I'm teaching CS-312 (Theory) this term ... that's all. (I get a load reduction 'cuz I'm the Faculty Senate Moderator.)
I'll admit I'm curious, yeah...
Theory was a fun class, but I think I probably would have liked it more if it weren't at 8 in the morning....
The list I have: Atkinson, Bell, Chang, Dulin, J. El-Sayed, Gheresus, Harding, Hargrove, Hiziroglu, Huggins, Jones, Lynch-Caris, McAllister, McCartin, Morrison, Okraku, K. Palmer, Patro, Svinarich, Warrier
Thanks. That's quite the lineup...
You're not doing Java 2?! But I've been talking that class up to some of my compatriots!
Thanks for the publicity. :)
Seriously, though, my "half-time" reduction as Moderator means that someone else has to teach 102 for Summer/Fall. While no-one has exclusive claims on any course, I suspect I'll be back teaching 102 in Winter 2007 (and then be off again in Spring 2007).
Congrats on the nomination. I'm sure you'll get it again sometime.
Although I never had you for a class, I think you're a good prof. Elebrin talks your classes up a lot.
Off to finish my Ubuntu update. Stupid dialup connection.
Thanks. As someone once said ... vote early, vote often. :)
